Jyoti meditation has been in practice for 500 years for personal and spiritual growth. However, the practice of Jyoti meditation is similar to extensive research on intellectual meditation and similar to Christian devotional type of meditation.

For example, like TM, Jyoti utilizes the utilization of a mantra; notwithstanding, in contrast to TM, Jyoti meditators select a mantra that has a profound significance (some name of God with which they feel good). Besides, in contrast, to care purpose, which centers mindfulness regarding an outside external object (e.g., breath or substantial sensations), Jyoti centers consideration regarding one’s inner experience.

Jyoti Meditation is an effective method of meditation by Sri Sathya Sai Baba, which utilizes the energy from the light beams of fire. By focussing on the fire for a fixed period, one can feel it inside us even with closed eyes. This vitality lights up inside our body and fills it with warmth. It depletes the obscurity that invades our body with considerations of envy, outrage, desire, and misery. Regular practice can help to increase the light at a higher level and open your senses.

Regarding different meditations, different trainers and teachers provide different forms of guidance.

It is the first step of spiritual discipline. Initially, you need to perform meditation for a few minutes every day and increase the time length as you feel good. As your body gets refreshed after sleep, the day time will not be effective in the morning.

Keep a candle or lamp in front of you before starting a straight and steady flame. Sit down in front of the candle by forming a lotus posture or as you feel comfortable.

Gaze at the flame steadily for a few minutes and close your eyes and try to feel the flame in between your eyebrows. Feel it as it slides down to your heart from eyebrows, lighting the path.

As the light enters your heart, imagine the petals of lotus open one by one, bathing every feeling, thought, and emotion in that light removes the darkness from them.

The reason for the Approach

The research study reviewed the effectiveness of Jyoti meditation on different constructs such as stress, emotional intelligence, and spiritual experience. A random experiment was managed using students (n = 61) from an Introduction-to-Counselling-Course.

Random experiments are held the gold standard for the treatment outcome research such as cook, Shadish, and Campbell, 2002. By the random selection of groups, research creates contrast groups that are both similar. Therefore, by randomization, the researcher lowered the threats to validity, for example, researcher bias and selection bias.

Non-violence is the pinnacle of human accomplishment and flawlessness. It is all-inclusive love that goes past our connection with our kindred creatures and grasps all living and non-living things. It is a profound space of presence. Here, one encounters the fundamental unity and solidarity of all creation. It blooms from the understanding that man has a commitment towards each item and part of this universe.

Furthermore, the least one can do is to attempt to stretch out one’s circle of adoration to all. Regarding individuals, non-violence implies friendship, harmony, and comprehension.  Regarding plants and creatures, it implies non-injury that is ceasing from avoidable damage with regards to nature. Thus, it implies the non-infringement of the law and parity of nature. In this way, the act of peacefulness isn’t confined to the physical plane alone. However, it incorporates all the three, that is, thought, deed, and word.
